A Super Quick Apple Pie

This has to be one of the quickest pies I've made. I just cut a bunch of different apples together and arrange them in a pie dish. Melt some unsalted butter in a heavy bottomed pan for a few minutes until it starts to darken and smells nutty. Take it off the heat and stir in 3 - 4 tablespoons of good quality maple syrup. Drizzle and brush over apples & chop some pecans to throw them on top for some crunch. Take some pastry, layer on the side, bake until pastry is cooked and apples are soft. This Browned Butter Pecan Apple Pie is so so good and just perfect for this weather!
